Brands, Retailers, and Agencies Investigate ‘Closing the Loop’ at HookLogic’s Annual European Ecommerce Media Forum

London, UK: A group of the UK’s most prominent retailers, brands, and media agencies – including Heineken, Philips and iProspect – came together last week to discuss closed-loop marketing at HookLogic’s second annual European Ecommerce Media Forum in London.

The event, which took place at Tate Modern, examined the core drivers in the growth of Ecommerce Media with key themes covering ecommerce profitability, the unique audience and attribution data assets that retailers have, and the importance for brands to be able to connect with those audiences as their shopping journeys increasingly go online. The IAB provided the keynote speech with presentations from Steve Chester, director of data and industry programmes, and Clare O’Brien, senior industry programmes manager, while lively panel discussions featured speakers from organisations including Nomad Foods and MEC.

“The real-time performance data that is now available to brands offers new challenges and opportunities for targeted and efficient media spend,” explained Ryan Apicella, UK e-retail manager for Moët Hennessy. “It was incredibly insightful to get diverse perspectives from top retailers, forward-thinking brands and smart agencies.”

Others attending the event included Hasbro, Bose, LG, Mindshare, Nestlé, Danone, and Tetley.

“Following the success of our first European Ecommerce Media Forum in 2015, we were excited to be able to invite such prominent brands and retailers to take part in an important and productive conversation again this year,” commented Ben Cooper, HookLogic’s managing director, Europe. “With our recent expansion into France and plans to further our reach across Europe, we are in the fortunate position of being able to bring together key digital media and ecommerce stakeholders to discuss the issues facing advertisers as the digital media landscape continues to evolve.”
