Speciale to Further Innovate Digital Solutions for Clients in New Age of Media Consumption
NEW YORK, NY – Digital Remedy, a white-labeled ad operations and sales solution for publishers, advertisers and influencers, announced the appointment of Turner President of Advertising Sales Donna Speciale to its board of directors. She brings over 25 years of experience in TV, print and digital media on both the agency- and client-side, and will help Digital Remedy further its innovative solutions created for partners and consumers.
“Donna is recognized as one of the best strategists in the media technology industry, having foreseen how TV should be folded into the video category,” said Mike Seiman. “Such prescience will enable us to smoothly navigate the convergence of digital content, film, video and social for the benefit of our clients.”
The appointment of Speciale follows the recent acquisition of CrowdHere, a curated collective of new media filmmakers and creative futurists and the elevation of its former CEO Nick Pahade to COO and president of Digital Remedy.
“Donna is a trailblazer for reimagining advertising in the new age of media,” said Pahade. “Her diverse background and perspective on the media landscape is invaluable, and we look forward to leveraging her expertise as we build on the experiences created for our partners and consumers.”
Speciale joined Turner in 2012 as president of Turner Entertainment and Young Adult Ad Sales where she redefined the client partnership model. Named President of Turner Ad Sales in 2014, she has reimagined how Turner collaborates with marketers and agencies utilizing advanced data and content capabilities. She has received numerous recognitions and awards including “most indispensable executive” by “Adweek” for her work on the groundbreaking launch of OpenAP.
“Digital Remedy has been at the forefront of new media ad advancements since digital’s early days, and I’m pleased to join their board of directors,” said Speciale. “As demands heighten for ad tech and media innovation, we need to come together as an industry to develop solutions not additional barriers for marketers.”
Prior to joining Turner, Speciale was President of Investment, Activation and Agency Operations at MediaVest Worldwide, overseeing the agency’s integrated digital, broadcast, print, and out-of-home practice, as well as investments on behalf of clients like Kraft, Walmart, P&G, and Coca-Cola. In addition to MediaVest, which Speciale joined in 2014, she led the broadcast investment team at WPP’s Mediacom.
Speciale also serves on the MAKERS Board of Directors and where she focuses on providing greater access and opportunities for women and people of color at the leadership level. She remains an active member of Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) and the Video Advertising Bureau (VAB).
