PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — Renegade Internet, Inc. has announced a new upgraded version of both AdvertPRO and AdvertSERVE online advertising delivery and tracking systems. AdvertPRO is Renegade’s stand alone server-based system and AdvertSERVE is a managed hosting service that uses AdvertPRO as its engine. The upgrade offers additional features and functionality to the popular ad delivery platform.
“We consistently improve our products to meet the demands of our customer base,” explains Michael Cherichetti, CTO of Renegade Internet. “The new features not only keep our product on the cutting edge of ad server technology but also provide our customers with greater flexibility and increased productivity.”
One of the notable new features provides for running of roadblock or companion ad campaigns. Many publishers require multiple ad zones to display matching campaigns from the same advertiser at the same time. The upgraded version allows users to not only select the campaigns that should be roadblocked but also the specific page zones where they will be roadblocked.
Other major features include post view tracking of visitor actions, minimum CPM, CPC and CPA rate targeting, unresolved geographic location targeting and an expanded number of search fields within all areas of the software.
Post view tracking will allow publishers to track (and monetize) actions resulting from an ad impression even without click-thru. Minimum CPM, CPC and CPA rate targeting for campaigns will ensure that only acceptably high paying campaigns are delivered to publishers and as a result yield higher eCPM rates. Default minimums can also be set at the account level as well for each individual ad zone. Unresolved geographic location targeting will provide the option of targeting these visitors in addition to those in specific geographic areas. The expanded search functionality will allow users to more easily find information throughout all areas of the interface.
Publishers targeting the UK will be pleased to note support for DMA targeting in the United Kingdom. The targeting is based on television market areas similar to how it is done in the United State. Reports are also available by geography so that users can see which market areas visitors are located in.
The reporting section of the system has also received notable upgrades. The media size reports now show the actual media size for views and clicks on banners served in zones that are set up to display multiple ad sizes. Traffic analysis for evenly distributed campaigns is being done on a per zone basis to achieve a highly precise fit of delivery to traffic patterns. Custom field values passed to the ad server in CSV format also now display as multiple values in the statistics reports (similar to how it has always been done with keyword values).
Along with the software upgrade, there have been substantial improvements to user manual with new sections on implementing Flash “clickTAG” buttons with Flash CS3, how to utilize chains/priority to maximize revenue and mixing of multiple banner sizes in ad zones.
