Bebo names Nicole Vanderbilt new VP International
Global social media network appoints Google’s former Head of Marketing and of Agency Programme to drive European expansion. In her new role, Ms. Vanderbilt will be responsible for driving Bebo’s business and membership internationally, initially focusing on France, Spain, Italy and Germany and the Netherlands. She will be based in Bebo’s London office.

Local.com ramps sales to meet growing demand for local ads
This expansion is in response to the company’s continued success in selling online advertising directly to small businesses nationwide. This expansion consists of outsourced sales personnel in third-party call centers who are dedicated to selling Local.com’s subscription ads. The company outsources its sales functions to professional call centers in order to reduce infrastructure costs and to tap into a skilled work force that can be expanded quickly.
