NEW YORK – The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) (www.mmaglobal.com), which represents more than 700 member companies worldwide, opened its annual Mobile Marketing Forum (MMF) in New York. Held at the Grand Hyatt, this two-day event has brought together some of the world’s largest brands and mobile industry leaders to discuss such topics as consumer engagement, branding in the mobile channel, social media and others. Featuring executives from companies the MMF emphasizes marketer’s case studies and discussions around privacy, location services, and creating opportunities through the evolution of the market.

“The mobile marketing channel has taken some big steps over the last year and the Mobile Marketing Forum has started off strong today with some incredible speakers sharing their success stories and discussing hot topics for the mobile industry,” said Mike Wehrs, President and CEO of the MMA. “Consumer privacy will continue to be at the core of our organization, with an emphasis of education and awareness around making the mobile marketing ecosystem profitable for all involved.”

The MMA is also offering mobile access to the Forum’s overview, schedule, speaker list, and other event information via a mobile site, created and powered by iLoop Mobile’s industry-leading mFinity Mobile Platform. The WAP site is available at http://nyc2009.mobilemarketingforum.com/.

The MMF has become one of the most anticipated events in North America focused on mobile marketing, and this year bnetTV.com will be streaming the Mobile Marketing Forum live from the Grand Hyatt in New York. BnetTV.com will be on location filming sessions and conducting in-depth interviews with speakers to broadcast to those who are not able to attend in person.

The Mobile Marketing Forum is produced by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) (www.mmaglobal.com). Event sponsors include 3cInteractive, AOL, Cellufun, GetJar, mBlox, MapQuest, Mojiva, Motricity, MX Telecom, OpenMarket, OpenWave, Predicto, Smaato, The Weather Channel, Velti and VeriSign.
