Richard D. Beckman to Become CEO of e5 Global Media

Industry Maven to Oversee Portfolio of Music, Film and Advertising Media Brands

NEW YORK – e5 Global Media LLC, a company recently formed jointly by Pluribus Capital Management, a media private equity partnership, and Guggenheim Partners, a global diversified financial services firm, announced that it has hired Richard D. Beckman as chief executive officer. Beckman, a seasoned media executive with an outstanding track record, will oversee the media assets that e5 Global Media recently acquired from The Nielsen Company: The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Adweek, Brandweek, Mediaweek, Backstage and Film Journal International, as well as the Film Expo business, which includes ShoWest, ShowEast, Cinema Expo International and CineAsia trade shows.

Beckman has worked for Condé Nast for the past 24 years where he has had numerous successes and achievements. Most recently he was president and CEO of the Fairchild Fashion Group since March 2009. Prior to that, he held the roles of president of Condé Nast Media Group and chief marketing officer of Condé Nast Publications for seven years, and in prior years was vice president and publisher of Vogue, GQ, and Condé Nast Traveler. He is known as an industry leader for the creation of large-scale, integrated multi-platform advertising programs and events, including the Emmy Award-winning Movies Rock, as well as Fashion Rocks, GQ “Men of the Year,” and the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards.
