NEW YORK – Carat, the leading global independent communications network, announced it has been awarded U.S. media planning and buying responsibilities for theatrical marketing for the entertainment company Relativity Media, LLC. Carat’s work, which begins December 1st, will encompass the planned national release of 10 to 12 films within the next year, including Season of the Witch opening January 7th, followed by Kids in America and The Dark Fields slated for March 2011.

Thirty-two of Relativity’s films have opened at No. 1 at the box office and earned 43 Oscar® nominations. Fifty-one of Relativity’s films have each generated more than $100 million in worldwide box-office receipts.
In June 2010, Relativity Media announced a groundbreaking licensing agreement with Netflix, allowing Netflix’s subscribers to stream Relativity films during the “pay TV window.”
