Beder Brings Deep Mix of Traditional and Digital to his Role as Head of Boston Operations
BOSTON – Isobar, a global communications agency and Aegis Media Group company, announced Dan Beder has joined the agency as managing director of its Boston office. Beder joins Isobar from digital agency Digitas, where he served as EVP, marketing director. Beder replaces Vangie Deane, who is stepping down to pursue other opportunities after being with Isobar for nearly 10 years.
As Isobar continues to grow and establish its foothold in the US, Beder brings a rich history of talent and experience in both traditional and digital marketing to help clients succeed in the new marketing landscape. With more than 20 years of advertising and marketing experience, Beder has developed breakthrough programs for leading brands such as General Motors, 3Com, AT&T, 3M, Tyco Toys, Compaq, The Home Depot and P&G.
While at Digitas, Beder managed all aspects of the global P&G account for brands including Olay, Oral-B, Crest, Tide, Always, Tampax, Head & Shoulders and Duracell. During his tenure, he was responsible for growing the business annually across The Americas, Western Europe and Asia Pacific. Before joining Digitas, Beder was vice president of marketing at smartbargains.com, an online e-commerce retailer, where he directed all marketing activity including branding, acquisition/retention programs, affiliate, search, email, partnerships and online/offline advertising programs. Earlier, Beder held management roles at D’Arcy and Modem Media, working with such recognized brands as AT&T, SC Johnson, 3M, and 3Com, among others.
