Krux Names Matt Kilmartin as Vice President of Sales

Nine-year Akamai veteran will oversee global sales and business development

San Francisco and New York – Krux (krux.com), the technology leader in cloud-based consumer data solutions, today announced the addition of Matt Kilmartin to its leadership team, joining as Vice President of Sales. Kilmartin is a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of driving business results and client success. Prior to Krux, he spent nearly 9 years at Akamai Technologies serving in a variety of roles. He was a top performer in their Enterprise Sales division, and, more recently, he led Sales and Account Management for the Advertising Decision Solution (ADS) business unit (formerly aCerno).

“We are very excited to welcome Matt to the Krux team,” stated Krux co-founder and CEO Tom Chavez. “He brings deep technical knowledge and a unique understanding of the dynamics of today’s web. He is perfectly suited to lead Krux market engagement strategy and to help prospects, clients, and partners navigate an increasingly cluttered technology landscape and zero-in on the right kinds of data platform investments.”

Krux’s cloud-based infrastructure helps websites protect, manage, and monetize consumer data signatures across all digital screens and sources. With Krux solutions, web publishers can put data to work making content, commerce, and advertising experiences more relevant and more valuable.

Kilmartin is the second major addition to the Krux management team this year, following Gordon McLeod’s appointment as President in February 2012. With the addition of Kilmartin, Dave Smith, who previously led sales and services, takes on a new role as Vice President of Solutions, overseeing Krux professional and advisory services globally. Smith and his team are focused on helping Krux clients and partners shape their web data strategies and extract full value from the application of Krux technology.

“Matt is a tremendous asset and a welcome addition to a very talented and diverse group of folks,” stated Krux president Gordon McLeod. “With this addition, we’ve made a great market-facing team even better, a team whose depth of experience and focus on solutions is unmatched in the industry.”

“Krux has established itself as a web technology leader, and I look forward to helping extend that lead,” stated Kilmartin. “I’m excited to do my part as the Krux team continues to shape consumer web data standards and helps web operators prepare for the data-driven future that, in many cases, is already upon us.”

Kilmartin joined Krux in May and is based in their New York City office.
