Digital Audio Advertising Network is First to Comply with IAB standards for these important industry innovations
SAN FRANCISCO – With estimated earnings per thousand impressions (eCPM) for audio ads far surpassing display ads, the ability to track and optimize performance for audio ads is more important than ever for advertisers. As the digital audio community matures – with Apple entering the fray, Pandora and Spotify expanding exponentially, and increasing margins across mobile devices for pure-play digital audio publishers, seamless and efficient ad delivery is critical. As a result, premium global digital audio advertising network Mixberry Media announced two new technology innovations for its advertiser clients and publisher partners: third party audio ad verification and the release of its Video Ad Serving Template (VAST 2.0) compliant audio ad server. These solutions make Mixberry Media the first digital audio ad network to be IAB compliant.
“As the only premium global digital audio ad network built from the ground up for pure-play streaming music publishers, we are committed to continuous technology innovation, providing the best experience and most lucrative opportunities for our publisher partners and advertisers”
With third party audio ad verification, advertisers can now track the performance of audio ads independent of the synchronized companion banner. The VAST compliant audio ad server allows publishers to seamlessly and efficiently incorporate audio ads within existing VAST compliant audio and video players.
“As the only premium global digital audio ad network built from the ground up for pure-play streaming music publishers, we are committed to continuous technology innovation, providing the best experience and most lucrative opportunities for our publisher partners and advertisers,” said Andre Hawit, Founder and CEO of Mixberry Media. “We’re happy to continue offering advertisers increased tracking capabilities to optimize campaigns and a seamless experience for publishers incorporating audio ads within existing VAST-compliant players.”
Third Party Audio Ad Verification:
In the past, audio ads did not contain trackable properties, leaving advertisers unsure of impressions. To solve this problem, Mixberry created a separate pixel to be served with the audio ad content allowing the advertiser to confirm that the ad was delivered to the user. Mixberry’s implementation is based on IAB’s common guidelines for both US and International standards. The pixel image is served from the advertiser’s third party ad verification company, giving them the ability to count the number of ad impressions in addition to capturing certain information from the user’s environment to help optimize the campaign.
Vast 2.0 Compliant Audio Ad Server:
Mixberry Media’s audio ad server now supports the IAB Standard VAST 2.0 for serving audio ads, enabling efficient setup and implementation of audio ad campaigns. VAST is designed for any on-demand video player where the ad response is parsed prior to play. Though VAST compliance has typically been implemented with video campaigns, Mixberry Media has implemented it for audio ads due to increased demand from its large publisher clients for easy integration with machine-to-machine applications and other ad networks. These ads are delivered based on user action or as a pre-roll to playing audio or video content.
