ad:tech New York 2014 Announces Startup Spotlight Series Finalists

Hottest new companies igniting the startup world to pitch Heineken USA, Live Nation, Alex and Ani, and Nestlé Pure Life

DALLAS – ad:tech New York 2014, the largest digital marketing event of the year to be held November 5-6 at the Javits Center, announced the finalists for this year’s Startup Spotlight Series, a competition that acknowledges and rewards the most disruptive and innovative young companies in today’s digital marketing world.

Leading brands Heineken USA, Live Nation, Alex and Ani, and Nestlé Pure Life will serve as the Startup Spotlight judges this year with the startups competing to land a more formal meeting with the brands. As part of the preliminary round, each brand selected four startups to pitch them live at ad:tech New York in ad:tech NEXT, a designated area on the show floor featuring experiential, interactive and cutting-edge technologies.

With past Startup Spotlight winners including the likes of Markerly, Jana and Ditto, ad:tech New York received hundreds of applicants but, ultimately, the following 15 were selected as finalists to pitch their product or service to the brand judges:

Heineken USA

Instinctive – a fully-native advertising and content syndication platform

Clypd – an advertising technology platform built exclusively for the television industry

Fluvip – connects brands and agencies with influencers and celebrities in social media to reach further, engage deeply, and drive leads and sales

EngageSimply – a “pull” marketing platform that offers marketers the tools to tell compelling, multimedia stories, and offers consumers the chance to engage with marketing messages on their own terms

Live Nation

Znaptag – transforms static images on websites into interactive properties

Hoverr – allows brand marketers to visually story tell to their end users using the photos and images available online

BuyNow – technology that brings a universal way to access ecommerce for all multimedia channels, creating an ultimate consumer experience that simply makes life easier and convenient for a border-free transaction

Monify – a simple and effective monetization solution that bridges the gap between brands and developers

Alex and Ani

Klick Push – the first platform to use music to help marketers increase the effectiveness of online consumer loyalty

Reelio – analyzes millions of YouTube videos and channels, transforming reams of data into actionable information for brands to better engage their desired audiences in online video

Fresh Beacons – using the latest Bluetooth Low Energy technology to detect the presence of nearby beacon compatible devices, FreshBeacons allows retailers, venues, content providers and developers to send personalized high-value and relevant content to their users, enhancing mobile engagement

Zoomph – an influencer engagement platform that gives brands full control to track conversations, rank influencers, and power multi-tiered campaigns

Nestlé Pure Life

Earshot – filters social media posts coming from locations of interest and converts them into real-time intelligence and relevant engagement opportunities

Grapevine – a turnkey platform that identifies advocates who create product integrated visual content for your brand reaching millions of targeted viewers on YouTube and Instagram

Idea Evolver – specializes in content marketing strategy and search experience optimization technology.

Znaptag – transforms static images on websites into interactive properties

All 15 finalists will receive free exhibit space at the show as well as free coaching from Evol8tion, a company that specializes in connecting startups with brands. One winner from each category will win the ad:tech Innovation Award and the opportunity to take their pitch in-house to the brand’s marketing team.
