Sizmek will host ‘SizmekHonours’ a four-week course on ad management for students and graduates looking to hit the ground running in the ad tech industry
LONDON – Following the success of its programme last year, SizmekHonours, a free four week course on ad management, will once again open its doors to students and graduates looking to kick-start a successful career in digital advertising. The open ad management company has increased the number of places available to 25 and will run four sessions from Wednesday 20th May to Wednesday 10th June.
Sizmek gives online advertisers, agencies, and publishers freedom of choice, flexibility and full end-to-end capabilities to drive exponential ad performance across multiple devices and channels. Sizmek has pioneered numerous digital advertising firsts for the online advertising industry.
Attendees at the SizmekHonours programme will hear from creative agencies, brands, a demand side platform (DSP), and industry experts over four separate Thursday morning sessions covering display, video, dynamic creative, and data. The modules are designed to be interactive, hands-on and engaging, and will include industry overviews, developing practical skills, problem solving, and presentation techniques. These modules will look to show delegates how to increase the effectiveness of media plans, drive better results and discover insights about advertising campaigns. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of achievement.
New for this year, SizmekHonours will also run a taster session during London Tech Week (15th 21st June) where the course will be condensed into four consecutive days, running from Monday 15th June to Thursday 18th June. This course will have limited availability, but is open to all.
Ben Walmsley, Regional VP Northern Europe at Sizmek commented: “Sizmek is committed to excellence and in furthering education within the advertising industry, and we’re delighted to be in a position to support the future industry leaders. The course aims to provide unmatched insights and experience into the world of advertising, equipping students and recent graduates, who may have just started agency life, with the tools and inspiration to prepare for their advertising careers ahead.”
So far, more than 40 participants have completed SizmekHonours and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:
“Thank you all for the engaging and interesting course. I found this to be a great opportunity to get a thorough, honest, and intriguing insight into the world of advertising a competitive industry that is very hard to get into for young graduates and talent. The course was well balanced and I have come away with a good understanding of the sector, as well as having extensive knowledge of how Sizmek and its technology operates, ” said Nosakhare Osazuwa-Oni, student, Westminster University.
“I am a strong believer that practical experience is invaluable to all graduates looking to enter a highly competitive industry such as digital advertising. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the SizmekHonours course to all graduates looking to differentiate themselves in the job market and achieve their future career ambitions. Courses such as SizmekHonours, which are run by experts in their field, help to build confidence, leveraging the real-life experiences and knowledge of those who have already made their mark in the industry.”? Dr Daphne Economou, Senior Lecturer, University of Westminster, BA, MA, PhD, fHEA.
