COLUMBIA, Md. – Merkle (www.merkleinc.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, announced that Angelina Eng will join the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)’s Certification Commission. The IAB Certification program, managed by the Certification Commission, establishes and measures the baseline digital industry knowledge required for digital advertising professionals. Eng is Vice President of Platform Solutions and Activation for Merkle, responsible for defining, building, and managing the digital media platforms for the agency’s solutions group.
“It is an honor to join the ranks of the IAB Certification Commission”
More than 4,000 digital advertising professionals have earned the IAB Certification, which is recognized as the only global industry standard for subject matter expertise and best practices. The three certification programs (IAB Digital Media Sales Certification, IAB Digital Ad Operations Certification and IAB Digital Data Solutions Certification) create standardized benchmarks to ensure partners, employees, and new hires have the knowledge to perform their roles.
As an active member of the IAB, Eng is also a part of the Ad Ops & Technology committee, Data Council committee and Programmatic committee. At Merkle, her responsibilities include the development of internal systems and workflow, establishment of deliverable standards, creation of ad trafficking and tracking guidelines, implementation of emerging platforms, as well as media optimization best practices.
“Angelina has been a tremendous contributor to our Certification programs for several years now. We’re delighted to have her expertise in data and ad technology,” said Michael Theodore, SVP, Learning & Development/General Manager, IAB Education Foundation.
“It is an honor to join the ranks of the IAB Certification Commission,” said Eng. “With the speed at which the digital advertising landscape is changing, a real-world education of best practices is critical for professionals to remain competitive in their jobs. I am proud to be able to lend my experience to help further the knowledge of advertising community and look forward to serving on this Commission with my esteemed peers from around the globe.”
