Former Gilead Sciences and Electronic Arts Executive to Lead the Company’s $445M Marketing Services Division
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Acxiom® (Nasdaq: ACXM), an enterprise data, analytics and software-as-a-service company, announced the appointment of Dennis Self as President and General Manager of Marketing Services.
Self has held several mission critical roles within the company, including senior vice president of delivery for Marketing Services, where he led the transformation and modernization of Acxiom’s client delivery function. Prior to that, he served as the company’s chief information officer and senior vice president of technical operations. In his new role, Self will build on the momentum of Acxiom’s Marketing Services division and accelerate its growth by bringing innovation and standardization to its offering, and delivering a superior client experience.
Over the past 12 months Acxiom’s Marketing Services division has achieved the following successes:
- Expanded its portfolio of offerings to include a next-generation marketing database solution that makes it easy and safe to activate improved marketing capabilities
- Relaunched its email and cross-channel marketing business, Acxiom Impact™, an advanced marketing offering specifically designed to meet the unique needs of sophisticated enterprise marketers
- Signed several key agreements, including a number of new database contracts, and multi-year renewals with three of its largest Financial Services clients

Prior to Acxiom, Dennis served as the chief information officer for Gilead Sciences and Electronic Arts. Additionally, he held various leadership positions at HP and worked as a strategy consultant for Andersen Consulting, A.T. Kearney and Deloitte Consulting.
Self earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Old Dominion University. He will be based in Little Rock, Arkansas and report to Acxiom’s CEO Scott Howe.
