LONDON, UK – OpenX, a leader in creating programmatic advertising marketplaces, announced the appointment of Tim Carter as Director, Platform Demand, EMEA. With over 15 years of ad tech and media experience, Carter will play an integral role in driving greater European demand and ensuring digital inventory is effectively monetised.
Carter’s previous roles include both Head of Strategy and Business Operations, and Head of Programmatic at InMobi, where his talent for strategic planning and efficiency saw the company listed in Fast Company’s The world’s most innovative companies in 2016. Carter also worked for Yahoo! as Senior Manager for Mobile Monetisation, managing display and search campaigns across more than 15 markets, and launching a range of new rich media targeting options.
Based at OpenX’s London office, Carter’s experience, knowledge of the marketing sphere, and extensive qualifications will help to build demand for OpenX’s platform, inventory, and services. He will also be responsible for devising market leading strategies and account management.
The decision comes at pivotal time in OpenX’s development, closely following the launch of its advanced real-time guaranteed (RTG) technology — the first digital ad trading solution to blend direct-deal security with real-time bidding efficiency. Providing flexibility and choice for buyers, while delivering greater yield and certainty for publishers, the new tool offers a range of potential benefits that will be dependent on a steady influx of high quality demand sources.
