Jo Holdaway, Strategic & Commercial Data Director at ESi Media, is announced as new Executive Chairman at the Association for Online Publishing (AOP), as Tim Faircliff steps down
London, UK: The AOP has confirmed that Jo Holdaway, Strategic & Commercial Data Director at ESi Media, will take up the role of Executive Chairman effective from 1st October 2016.
The news follows the announcement that Tim Faircliff is stepping down as Executive Chairman from 30th September 2016, however will remain at the AOP as Non-Executive Board Director, alongside John Barnes, Chief Digital Officer at Incisive Media, and Richard Reeves, Managing Director at AOP.
Commenting on the appointment, Richard Reeves, Managing Director at AOP, said: “We are excited to welcome Jo in her new role at the organisation. She has been instrumental over the last four years as a member of the AOP advisory board and has played a key part in implementing changes to ensure we continue to support and provide an excellent service to our digital publishing members.”
He added: “I would like to thank Tim for his dedicated service as Chairman over the past two years. His ongoing commitment and contribution to the AOP have been fundamental as the industry has gone through a period of considerable change. I am pleased his involvement at the AOP will continue in his role as Non-Executive Board Director.”
Jo Holdaway said: “I am very much looking forward to the new challenges ahead and am excited to continue working closely with AOP members to address the industry issues that matter, and help safeguard the future of digital publishing.”
Holdaway’s current responsibilities at ESi Media include the delivery of a company-wide data strategy; activating data to inform the newsrooms and commercial department, data monetisation, and CRM. Prior to ESi, Holdaway held senior sales management roles at Independent News & Media, JC Decaux, and Time Inc. UK.
The AOP has also confirmed the following appointments to its advisory board: Pete Wootton, Managing Director at Dennis Digital, Gerson Barnett, Commercial Director EMEA at CBS Interactive, and Stuart Keith, Head of Advertising Sales & Partnerships, Digital at BT.
