Mobile Advertising Leader Kargo Names Samantha Zurek Regional Vice President, Midwest

NEW YORK – Kargo, the leader in mobile brand advertising, announced the appointment of Samantha Zurek to the role of Regional Vice President, Midwest.

“Kargo’s innovative approach to mobile advertising has always attracted me to the company, and I’m looking forward to working with such a talented team to continue shaping the future of mobile advertising.”

In her new position, Zurek will oversee sales and lead the sales operational teams in the Midwest region. Her years of experience driving digital and convergent advertising efforts will further Kargo’s Midwestern expansion. Zurek will be based in Kargo’s Chicago office and will report directly to Chief Strategy Officer, Doug Rohrer.

Prior to joining Kargo, Zurek was the Regional Vice President of Samba TV where she managed and grew a successful team and was responsible for introducing a new cross-device solution in the Midwest market. Prior to that, she held various positions at leading media companies, including Turner Broadcasting and A+E Networks.

“With more than a decade of experience, Sam has the sales and management knowledge to lead our strategy in the Midwest. At Kargo, we are committed to growing our Midwestern presence without sacrificing the quality mobile ad formats and the customer service that we’re known for, and there is no one better than Sam to lead this charge,” said Rohrer.

Zurek said, “Kargo’s innovative approach to mobile advertising has always attracted me to the company, and I’m looking forward to working with such a talented team to continue shaping the future of mobile advertising.”

Kargo is the only mobile advertising company that not only creates rich-media campaigns for 200+ brands (including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Verizon and L’Oréal) but also partners with a handpicked network of 70 top publishers (such as Hearst, The New York Times, CBS Interactive, etc.) — reaching an audience that rivals Google and Facebook in terms of scale.

Zurek joins Kargo following a record-breaking year, during which the company exceeded $100 million in revenue, expanded internationally and completed its first major mobile advertising research initiative, Captivate vs. Aggravate.
