With that in mind, Findr Interactive, an interactive advertising agency based in the Chelsea District of New York City, will premiere Night of the AdEaters on September 25, 2009 as the final event for Advertising Week.
Night of the AdEaters is an international phenomenon that celebrates the creative process and the impact of advertising on worldwide cultures. AdEaters was started in 1981 by Jean Marie Boursicot, who maintains the world’s largest and most unique archive of television commercials. It is now celebrated in over 160 cities and 50 countries annually, from London to Madagascar. Night of the AdEaters attracts thousands of attendees that include both industry folks and general market alike who are addicted to the all night celebration which showcases the best creative works. Glued to the screens, left with a lasting impression from each and every part of the show.
Ironically, AdEaters has never premiered in New York City, and due to its huge worldwide recognition, it will be supported by major media companies like CBS Radio, Advertising Week and The Clio Awards. The lineup of presenting sponsors are yet to be released, but also promise to be major brands that have led advertising for the past 50 years.
At this year’s event in New York City guests can expect a great show and an interactive atmosphere with sponsors, games, cocktails, VIP areas and more. Program highlights include: Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld for Microsoft, an advertising short movie directed by Martin Scorsese, and the best of social and humanitarian campaigns – just to name a few. The program consists of 360 commercials from 54 countries!
Partial proceeds from Night of the AdEaters will benefit Generation Next, a charity dedicated to attracting young talent to the advertising industry.
