NEW YORK – Undertone™ Networks, an online advertising network, announced that Kelly Wenzel has joined its executive team as the senior vice president of marketing. Wenzel is responsible for Undertone’s marketing strategy and execution, including lead generation, public relations and marketing communications activities. With more than 15 years of experience, Wenzel is an award-winning marketer with a proven track record in fast-paced, high-growth companies.

Wenzel’s background in information technology spans multiple sectors, from infrastructure and virtualization, to grid computing and supply chain management software – all firms characterized by rapid growth in highly competitive market segments.

Most recently, Wenzel was chief marketing officer at Tideway Systems, a provider of infrastructure management solutions, where she spearheaded the launch of multiple new product offerings and led the team that won global recognition for the company as a 2009 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. Previously, Wenzel headed marketing at DataSynapse, where she was instrumental in establishing the company as the de facto leader in the emerging grid and virtualization market. She developed, managed and executed an impressive lead-generation program that helped fuel the company’s triple-digit growth during her tenure.
In 2008, Wenzel was named Business Executive of the Year in a Computer Software and Services Company by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Prior to DataSynapse, she also held positions as vice president of marketing at Prescient Systems and Optum, Inc. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of South Carolina.
