Internet2Go Offers One-Day ‘Crash Course’ in Mobile Advertising with Leading Firms

Yahoo! keynote headlines one-day event that features real mobile marketing case studies and presentations from Microsoft, JumpTap, AOL, Google and others

SAN FRANCISCO – Mobile devices will become the primary Internet access platform for more than 100 million U.S. consumers in the next few years, according to the Pew Foundation*. But the majority of companies and marketers don’t yet fully appreciate the significance – and opportunity – of this emerging platform.

Internet2Go, organized by Opus Research, offers a one-day “crash course” in mobile marketing, featuring case studies and real data from the leading companies on the front lines of the mobile Internet. The event will be held at Mezzanine in San Francisco on January 29, 2009. Focused and interactive, the event is designed for marketers, agencies and others who are interested in but not yet deeply involved in mobile marketing. The cost to attend the Conference is $399, and special discounts are available for agency professionals and their clients.

“We created an event that will show mobile is working and delivering great ROI for advertisers today,” said Greg Sterling, Senior Analyst with Opus Research’s Local Mobile Search advisory service. “We also wanted the emphasis to be on real case studies and practical information, rather than hypothetical or abstract discussions.”

Sessions include:

* Removing Roadblocks to Mobile Marketing
* Mobile Integration with Traditional Media Campaigns
* SMS – Not Sexy but Effective and Voluminous
* Search Marketing in a Mobile Environment
* Mobile ROI – What Is It, How Do We Measure It?
* Mobile Creative Showcase

The “Mobile Creative Showcase” will highlight compelling mobile ad campaigns utilizing all platforms, from SMS to mobile video. Internet2Go speakers include executives from AdMob, Ansible, AOL/Platform-A, ChaCha, Google, HipCricket, JumpTap, Microsoft, NearbyNow, Quattro Wireless, Verve Wireless, Yahoo! and others.

Current sponsors include Yahoo!, JumpTap and NearbyNow.
