American Marketing Association Hosts September Events

Featured topics include Building Revenue with PR, Marketing to Physicians, Increasing “The Bottom Line,” Crisis Communication and a Czech Themed Happy Hour

HOUSTON – The AMA Houston Chapter will host a number of events in September.

At the monthly luncheon, scheduled Wednesday, September 8, AMA members and guests learned how to convert their organizations’ marketing and communications programs into revenue during this month’s featured topic, “Business is Photosynthesis – Building Revenue, Deal Size and Sales Velocity with PR.” Speaker Mark Stouse, Global Communications Leader for BMC Software, one of the largest software companies in the world, provided insight into metrics that really matter and how to prove marketing’s financial ROI to the CEO. The luncheon was held at the Junior League of Houston at 11:30a.m.

On Thursday, September 9, AMA’s monthly happy hour event has taken place at the Czech Center Museum, 4920 San Jacinto Street at Wichita, Houston, TX 77002. This free networking event, from 5:30 – 8:00p.m., sponsored by AMA’s Healthcare Special Interest Group (SIG), was open to everyone and registration was not required.

On Friday, September 17, AMA’s Energy Special Interest Group (SIG) will present “Impressively Impacting ’the bottom line’ Through Savvy Sales Force Enablement.” Attendees will learn how to ignite passion within their companies’ sales forces, how to deliver differentiated messages, and embrace their positioning efforts to rise above the competition. The speakers include Scott Berg, Director, Global Digital Strategy & Ecosystems, Hewlett-Packard Company; Tim Riesterer, CMO and SVP, Corporate Visions Inc.; and Gordon Gorrie, Marketing Executive, Wood Group, Gas Turbine Services.
