Komli Media Promotes Prashant Mehta to CEO, Announces Bangalore Engineering Center

Plans to Grow Its Engineering Team to 100 People in Next 12 Months

MUMBAI, India – Komli Media, Asia Pacific’s leading digital media network platform, announced that current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Prashant Mehta, will become Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Komli Media Board of Directors. Amar Goel, previously CEO and Chairman, will continue his role as Chairman of the Board. In his new role as CEO, Mehta will lead all operational, financial and strategic areas of the business globally.

Prashant Mehta was appointed as the COO of Komli Media in December 2008. In this position, he was responsible for sales, marketing, business development, and operations. He has been instrumental in building a strong team and culture and has significantly deepened relationships with many of the leading agencies, advertisers and publishers. As a result, Komli Media’s revenues have grown over 600% during his tenure. Further, under his leadership, the Company has expanded its global footprint by developing scalable industry leading solutions. He also led Komli Media’s acquisitions of PostClick (Australia) and Indoor Media (United Kingdom) in 2010.

In addition, the Company also announced it is opening a new Engineering Center in Bangalore. Komli Media is aggressively investing in products and platforms, and opening an Engineering Center in Bangalore will enable the Company to access the tremendous talent pool in the market. The Company will continue to grow its Engineering Center in Mumbai and plans to hire more than 50 engineers in the next six months across both centers. Recently, Komli Media raised $15 million in funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. This investment has enabled the Company to accelerate its investment in technology platforms and talent.

Prior to joining Komli Media, Mehta was the VP and Head of Monetization for Yahoo!’s (Nasdaq: YHOO) Emerging Markets Group which included India, South East Asia, Middle East & Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Mehta was responsible for sales, business and publisher development, sales operations and advertising platforms across the region.
