ADARA Hires Asia Pacific Leadership Team and Opens Singapore Office to Drive Regional Growth

Executives from PAYBACK India and Microsoft Bring Industry Knowledge and Expertise

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.ADARA, the leader in leveraging global travel data to drive future business performance, announced the appointment of two seasoned executives to lead the company’s market development efforts in the Asia Pacific region. Vijay Bobba has joined the company as managing director and Jonathan Hardy was brought on board as vice president of sales. The new hires will lead ADARA’s regional expansion to provide marketers with rich data and travel industry intelligence to monetize and expand their advertising reach.

Vijay has a proven entrepreneurial track record of nurturing new ideas and growing large-scale businesses in complex and dynamic markets. In his new role, Vijay will provide strategic leadership to help grow ADARA’s business in Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for developing and managing data partnerships to drive ADARA’s growth strategy in the region. Most recently, he was the founder and CEO of PAYBACK, India’s largest multi-brand consumer loyalty program. At PAYBACK, Vijay pioneered the concept, launched India’s leading consumer loyalty brand, established more than 80 strategic partnerships, led the company to a market leadership position and its eventual acquisition by Loyalty Partner, an American Express company. Previously, he was a partner at the McKenna Group in Silicon Valley, where he consulted for startups and large global businesses on creating new markets for leading-edge technologies.

With 20 years of experience in the region, Jonathan is an authority on the Asian media and advertising industry, recognized for his deep knowledge and background in sales. In his co-leadership role with Vijay, Jonathan will lead ADARA’s sales strategy and operations in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining ADARA, Jonathan served as Microsoft’s sales strategy lead in Asia, where he was responsible for developing multi-channel advertising sales strategies across several platforms and applications. Before his tenure with Microsoft, Jonathan was based in Hong Kong, where he founded the regional sales agency, Energy Media Networks. Additionally, he served as managing director at Dow Jones International Marketing Services where he led regional sales and marketing teams for The Wall Street Journal and wsj.com.
