LOS ANGELES & NEW YORK – OpenX, a leader in creating programmatic advertising marketplaces, announced that the IAB has appointed Jason Fairchild, Co-Founder and CRO of OpenX, as a co-chair of the IAB Programmatic Council. Led by the IAB’s Benjamin Dick, Director of Industry Initiatives, Jason joins current co-chairs, Bob Arnold from Google, and Jason White from CBS Interactive, to help advise the industry through the rapidly changing programmatic landscape.

“As programmatic evolves it is critical that we have forums, like the IAB’s Programmatic Council and related committees, to engage in thoughtful discussions around emerging technologies and openly explore projects that will advance the industry,” said Jason Fairchild. “I’m looking forward to working collaboratively to develop the standards and guides that will take our industry to the next level.”
As co-chair, Jason will work with other prominent industry influencers to engage in discussions about current industry topics, develop standards, and create learning and training modules related to programmatic advertising. According to a recent report by MagnaGlobal, programmatic advertising, which continues to grow and expand due to its reputation as a highly efficient, results based method of advertising, is expected to grow globally from $14.2 billion in 2015 to $36.8 billion in 2019.
The Programmatic Council was created in 2014 by the IAB to bring together buyers, sellers and advertising technology executives to discuss emerging industry issues and the business implications brought on by rapid change in the programmatic ecosystem. The IAB selects industry leaders who have proven their commitment to their mission and goals, through their participation and contribution to the industry.
