Startup World Cup Announces Judges for November 2016 Show Taking Place at ad:tech New York

NEW YORK – Startup World Cup announced the roster of judges for its November 2016 event. The group is partnering with ad:tech, the original industry authority for advertising, marketing and media technology, for its first ever U.S. regional competition in New York. The regional competition will be held as part of the annual ad:tech New York 2016 event November 2nd and 3rd at the Javits Convention Center.

Judges at the NY event include:

  • Ellie Wheeler (Partner at Greycroft Partners)
  • Jenny Fielding (Managing Director at Techstars)
  • Aswath Damodaran (Professor at NYU Stern)
  • Avi Savar (CEO of DreamIt Ventures)
  • Bambi Francisco (Managing Director at Vator Investment Club)
  • Kevin Siskar (Managing Director at Founder Institute)

Startup World Cup is a series of global conferences and competitions, bridging startup ecosystems worldwide, and encouraging the most talented entrepreneurs to battle for the prestige of winning the Startup World Cup. Sixteen regional events are scheduled all over the world, leading up to the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley. The Startup World Cup has been organized by Fenox Venture Capital, a Silicon Valley-based multinational VC firm. The November event represents the U.S. debut of the competition, having wrapped up an event in South Africa.

Guest speakers at the event include Dennis Mortenson and Mike Brown. Dennis, the Founder and CEO at x.ai, will be speaking about the current state of artificial intelligence and where it will take us in the future. Mike, the Founder and CEO at Win-Win, will speak about his transition from being a NFL linebacker to a tech entrepreneur.

The Grand Finale will take place in San Francisco on March 24th, 2017. The winner of the pitching competition will represent New York and compete alongside 15 other startups from all over the world for a chance to win a U.S. $1,000,000 prize in investment.
