San Francisco event will advance discussions on gamification in advertising through speaking panel and new gaming pavilion

DALLAS – ad:tech San Francisco, the leading and most diverse digital marketing event in the country, will be home to the latest discussions and content in gamification through its new gaming pavilion, “game:tech,” and special session, “Game On: How Gamification Drives Consumer Sales & Engagement.”

The gaming pavilion, “game:tech,” will have four pods showcasing games-related marketing companies representing the future of gamification as it relates to acquiring new customers, retaining current ones, encouraging social promotion and adding a little fun to marketing efforts. This area on the Expo Floor will feature a lounge space with vintage and current generation video game consoles and a dedicated arcade “ambassador” who will be facilitating game play sessions. Special session, “Game On: How Gamification Drives Consumer Sales & Engagement,” will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on April 9 and will feature speakers from Electronic Arts, SponsorPay and NativeX.
To build the excitement for this gamification revolution before the show, ad:tech is also partnering up with Alpha Flip for a special game contest. Beginning Thursday April 4, 2013, through Friday, April 5, 2013, gaming masters or aspiring gaming pros can enter and participate in the Alpha Flip game by visiting the Alpha Game site for ad:tech . By end of day April 5, 2013, three winners will be selected and awarded with an Expo/Keynote pass to ad:tech San Francisco next week.
“At ad:tech, we want to make sure that show attendees are on the leading-edge of the latest industry trends discussions,” said Nicole Buraglio, marketing director of ad:tech. “We recognize that gamification is becoming more and more prominent in the digital marketing space and this pavilion and special session will equip attendees with the tools they need to stay ahead of the pack.”
ad:tech San Francisco 2013, in conjunction with Under the Influence Summit 2013, is shaping up to be a stellar event. With 20+ hours of education in nine tracks – including Mobile, Brand, Display, Performance, Innovation, Social, Video, Tablets and Sponsored Workshops – plus four keynote sessions, there’s a wide range of content led by thought-leaders serving all segments of the industry.
More than 200 exhibitors will fill the Expo Hall with the latest products, services and technologies and prime networking opportunities will keep the community buzzing over the course of the two days.
