PlaceIQ Appoints John Sedlak as Chief Revenue Officer

Former SVP of Global Sales for BlueKai Brings Decades of Marketing Technology Experience to Leading Location Intelligence Company

In this role, Mr. Sedlak will be tasked with driving PlaceIQ’s overall revenue strategy and accelerating the adoption of the company’s technology offerings across a variety of industry verticals.

Mr. Sedlak brings more than two decades of experience working with top global technology and media companies, including Oracle, BlueKai, AOL and Time Warner, Inc. Over the course of his career, John has developed a long history of successfully selling strategic media and technology platform solutions to both media agencies and directly to brands. As a recognized sales leader, John has also played a crucial role in accelerating company sales growth at rapidly growing technology companies resulting in large-scale acquisition, most recently with the sale of BlueKai to Oracle.

Based in New York City, Mr. Sedlak will report to CEO Duncan McCall. Prior to PlaceIQ, Mr. Sedlak served as VP of Sales at Oracle and SVP of Global Sales at BlueKai, where he drove global sales strategy for the company’s agency and marketer businesses. In his role at BlueKai, he was integral in the company’s success and ultimate acquisition, driving strong growth and leading the global sales team – while spearheading the rollout to the marketing ecosystem of a completely new and innovative product set with BlueKai’s DMP suite. Mr. Sedlak has also held executive-level sales and business development positions at AOL, Time Warner and Vibrant Media.
