ad:tech San Francisco Startup Spotlight Finalists Announced

Startups Will Compete in Two Challenges: Wonderful Pistachios Mobile Commerce and General Mills Social Engagement

DALLAS – ad:tech San Francisco, in partnership with Wonderful Pistachios and General Mills, is excited to announce the finalists of its Startup Spotlight Series: SpyderLynk, AppGlu, iMobileMedia, Pocket Change, Dlvr.it, NUVI, Linqia and Pixlwise.

“I’m thrilled to see what these brands have in store for the final rounds of judging for ad:tech’s Innovation Award.”

These recognized global brands partnered with ad:tech to find the most innovative new companies in digital marketing. The competition launched in February, with each brand hunting for a specific solution: Wonderful Pistachios Mobile Commerce and General Mills Social Engagement.

Over 45 startups entered, but only eight were chosen as finalists; four for the mobile commerce challenge and four for the social engagement challenge. The finalists will make their final business pitches live, on-stage at ad:tech San Francisco from April 9-10, 2013. The winner selected in each challenge will be awarded with the ad:tech Innovation Award and will be able to take their pitch in-house.

Wonderful Pistachios Mobile Commerce

SpyderLynk: SpyderLynk’s mobile platform allows marketers to activate meaningful mobile marketing engagements.

AppGlu: AppGlu helps companies launch backend connected apps sooner and provides an innovative, web-based Control Center to better manage those apps after launch.

iMobileMedia: iMobileMedia create applications that engage and reward personal relationships with brands wherever customers are making purchases.

Pocket Change: Pocket Change offers a leading universal reward currency for mobile, creating more loyal and engaged customers and driving deeper value for app developers.

General Mills Social Engagement

Dlvr.it: dlvr.it provides bloggers, publishers and brands a way to instantly syndicate content and expand their reach on the social web and into new channels.

NUVI: NUVI provides actionable, real-time insights from the vast ocean of social conversation, helping customers visualize the story being told by data.

Linqia: Linqia is a marketing platform that makes it easy for community leaders to earn money from trusted brands for sharing authentic stories.

Pixlwise: Pixlwise is a software development studio in San Diego, California focused on bridging the Skills Gap by educating/training adults through a videogame platform.
