Adform continues to uphold high standards, formalizes relationships with leading national self-regulatory organizations in digital advertising
New York — Adform, the leading independent advertising technology platform company, announced that it has become a member of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), the leading self-regulatory association dedicated to responsible data collection and its use for digital advertising. Adform has agreed to uphold the extensive and detailed NAI Code of Conduct to promote trust, transparency, and privacy protections for digital advertising. Adform has also joined Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), the independent organization of leading advertising and marketing associations.
Many brands, agencies and publishers require NAI membership from their ad tech partners. NAI members commit to uphold an extensive and detailed Code of Conduct that exceeds legal requirements in many respects. Member compliance with the NAI Code is backed up by a strong accountability program, which includes a comprehensive annual review by NAI staff of member companies’ practices to ensure compliance with the Code.
“”We are excited that Adform is now part of the NAI and DAA as these are key milestones for the future of our partnership,” said Mark Glauberson, EVP at Direct Agents. “It is great to know that we are working with a world-class platform that values privacy, trust, and transparency.”
“We are excited to welcome Adform to our membership,” said NAI President and CEO Leigh Freund. “The company’s long-standing commitment to ensuring privacy and its dedication to innovation will support NAI’s mission.”
NAI members include a wide range of businesses such as ad networks, exchanges, location data aggregators, platforms, and other technology providers. Across websites, mobile applications, and connected televisions, NAI member companies form the backbone of the digital advertising ecosystem – helping advertisers reach audiences most likely to be interested in their products and services while allowing consumers to receive ads and content that are tailored to their interests.
The NAI Code is rooted in the widely accepted Fair Information Practice Principles (FIPPs), and it applies those principles to the digital advertising ecosystem by, among other things, instituting robust notice and choice requirements and restrictions on the use and sharing of data. The NAI Code mandates that member companies provide users a means to opt out of Tailored Advertising.
NAI also helps its members comply with a variety of federal, state, and international laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and others.
Adform is now also a member of Digital Advertising Alliance. DAA’s California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Opt-Out Tools provide consumers a clear and recognizable mechanism to express cross-industry choices around the sale of their personal information.
In a time when brands are placing increased value on trust and transparency, Adform is signaling to the industry its renewed commitment to leading as the industry’s only complete and integrated suite of Ad Server, DSP, and DMP. Adform does so with accredited viewability measurements to assure advertisers and partners that its Advertiser Platform is to be trusted.
“At Adform we are committed to privacy-safe, data-driven marketing,” said Julian Baring, General Manager of the Americas at Adform. “We have been working with the DAA and NAI to formalize our relationships with both organizations and are thrilled to officially confirm our membership and cooperation with each body. Adform is committed to maintaining its leadership position when it comes to digital privacy and transparency.”
Adform also meets a number of other important certifications including MRC and IAB Standards. Adform is also a TAG Member and holds the “Certified Against Fraud” seal. Adform was named a Leader in both Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Ad Tech.
